A Call to Unity: Focus on Barrister Akpata’s Candidacy – By Dr. Mashido Eghaghe

As the Labour Party navigates its internal dynamics, it’s essential to separate fact from fiction and clarify the roles and responsibilities of its Leadership. In light of recent developments, I feel compelled to address certain misconceptions and redirect the focus towards our shared goal: ensuring the success of our Gubernatorial Candidate, Barrister Akpata, and building a brighter future for Edo State.

Please direct all inquiry regarding the Labour Party’s leadership issues to Barrister Abure, the National Chairman. He extended the tenure of Comrade Kelly Ogbola’s led SWC and appointed the State’s purported caretaker committee. The NWC’s failure to conduct congresses, despite knowing they were overdue, created the power tussle – not me. I’m not responsible for the LP’s leadership issues, so please address your questions to the relevant authorities.

Let’s focus on our shared goals: the Labour Party and Barrister Akpata’s candidacy. Our candidate is willing to work with everyone and has an open-door policy. No individual has hindered any member from campaigning for the party. I urge all members to look beyond today and build a better future by supporting Barrister Akpata. We can’t risk leaving Edo State in the hands of opposition candidates who need translators to communicate. Let’s work together for a brighter future.

Let us put aside our differences and unite behind our shared vision for a better Edo State. Barrister Akpata’s candidacy represents a beacon of hope for our people, and it’s our collective responsibility to ensure his success. He extend an olive branch to all members of the Labour Party, urging us to work together in the spirit of unity, inclusivity, and progress. Let us rise above internal conflicts and focus on the greater good. Together, we can achieve greatness and create a brighter future for Edo State.
