Despite the current economic hardship, Hon. Asmau Gogo Ohikere, has in her usual manner, stretch hands of fellowship to Muslim ummah in her Bariki Ward in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State as part efforts to enable them celebrate the 2024 Eid al-Adha with ease.
Hon. Gogo, who served as the Special Adviser to the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, H.E Yahaya Adoza Bello, gave over Four Hundred Thousand Naira (400,000+) to Members of the Ward, an act described by the people as a prove of her love to them.
The beneficiaries described Hajia Gogo as a new breed Politician who is always associating with the people at the grassroots, not only during electioneering but at all times.
They appreciated her kind gesture towards them, praying to Allah to take her to greater heights.
They also prayed for the success of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration in the Confluence State and called on Muslims to use the celebration to pray for Allah’s guidance upon the Governor and members of his Cabinet.
While addressing the people, Hajia Gogo said she was home to appreciate the people, especially women in her Ward for their commitment to the success of the Governor Ododo in the State and to also share with them what Allah has blessed her with ahead of the 2024 Eid al-Adha celebration.
Hon. Gogo pointed out that it was important to share with others especially at a period like this, praying to Allah to help the Government of the day with wisdom to solve the current economic hardship facing the people.
She enjoined the people of her Ward to continue to love one another, be their brothers keeper and as well, contribute to the progress of others in the Society.
