Yagba: Again Abejide Flags Off 1km Road

The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency Federal Constituency, Rep. Leke Abejide, yesterday, flagged off the construction of 1km Egbe market road in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Performing the flag off, Leke said it was part of his plans to ensure connection of rural communities in the federal constituency with a good road network to boost rural economy and assist farmers evacuate their farm produce to the metropolis. Also, he said the flag off signifies the day Hon. Christopher Tosin Oni joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Leke thanked the benefiting communities for their cooperation and urged them to remain peaceful and united. He admonished them to continue cooperating with him for the timely and successful completion of the project.

Speaking further, Elder Leke enjoined the ruling APC to be progressive as it name connotes by concentrating on giving dividends of democracy to the people rather than the usual witch-hunts they are known for.

He said, “while I go about paying WAEC fees for students, laying asphalt on our roads, rural electrification projects across the constituency, I call on the ruling APC and other opposition parties to engage themselves in the execution of other projects as no one can do it all alone. The development of our land requires a collective effort.

Otunba Ibikunle Idowu, ADC candidate for Kogi State House of Assembly, Yagba West State Constituency, thanked Elder Leke for his commitment to community development and pledge to complement his efforts within the jurisdiction of his power as member of the state assembly representing Yagba West Local Government Area.
