Terrorism: Man Sentenced To 16 Years Imprisonment In Kogi

A Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja has sentenced Saleh Iro Yusuf to sixteen years imprisonment for offenses bordering on terrorism.

Mall. Saleh was arraigned on a four count charge of conspiracy to commit an offence, act of terrorism, hostage taking and kidnapping before the Federal High Court, Lokoja.

The presiding Judge, Justice P. Mallong, convicted the defendant as charged and sentenced him to four years imprisonments on each count.

The convict was by arraigned by the Department of State Services, DSS lokoja.

The prosecution, O. Yahaya, called a total of four witnesses, tendered confessional statement of the defendant, video recording of confessional statement, compact disc which were dully admitted by the court.
Consequently, Justice Mallong, sentenced the accused on the four count charge.
